Jim McKenzie (1948-2016)
Valedictorian. Sports Star. Oath Keeper. James McKenzie, “Jim” for short, was a natural born competitor since day one. Growing up in Fairhope, Alabama, Jim pursued excellence in all aspects of his life. He was an avid athlete, participating in competitive sports, was an active member of the Methodist church, and Valedictorian of his senior class. After completing his formative education, Jim attended the University of West Florida where he received his B.A. in Philosophy, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He subsequently received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Florida’s law program, graduating with honors in 1973. In 1975, Jim established his practice in Pensacola and gained a reputation for being among the best lawyers in the area: a reputation that would grow from the local boundaries of the city into the regional and national arena. His tenacious style would reward Jim with a multitude of prestigious awards for his casework.
